What to do when a porcelain object chipped?
Throw it away?
Simple, retouch it with nail polish!
O objecto a tratar será este suporte de vela, com a falha que podemos ver no topo da folha do centro.
The object of work is a candle support with the visible chip in the top of the middle leaf.
1º Procura-se um ou neste caso dois vernizes com cores semelhantes às do objecto.
1st Find one or in this case two nail polishes in the same colour as the object.
2º Aplica-se o de tom mais claro e retira-se o excesso com um lenço de papel dando pequenas pancadinhas.
2nd Apply the light colour and remove the excess with a tissue, taping the polish with it.
3º Da mesma forma aplica-se o segundo verniz, desta vez mais escuro, de
modo a ser mais homogéneo com os dois tons que temos na peça.
3rd The same way, apply the second nail polish, recreating this way the object's original colours.
4º O verniz de acabamento da peça é um branco leitoso, desta forma, escolhemos um verniz semelhante para tornar o acabamento mais homogéneo.
4th The finishing polish in the object is a milky white, this way, find a similar nail polish to get a more true tone finish.
5º Coloca-se este ultimo em camadas para que o rebordo também fique arredondado.
5th Layer the white nail polish so that the ends get rounder and smoother.
Assim de simples disfarça-se uma falha inestética e desta forma pode-se colocar o suporte de vela em qualquer lugar sem ter que esconder aquele pormenor.

O acabamento final fica muito semelhante e deste modo reciclamos!
